Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026. This policy describes what the Why Humans website does with information. We have tried to keep it plain and to describe only what the site actually does.

Summary

  • The site runs on WordPress.
  • Saved items and preferences are stored on your own device, not on our servers.
  • Contact and newsletter forms collect information only if they are enabled, and only what you type into them.
  • We do not assume or run analytics, advertising trackers, or social media tracking scripts. If that changes, we will update this page first.

Information stored on your device

Features such as saving articles or tracking your progress through a learning path use your browser’s local storage. This data stays in your browser on your device. We do not receive it. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings, and it may be lost if you clear site data or switch browsers.

Forms

If a contact form is enabled, we receive the details you submit, such as your name, email address, and message, and use them to respond. If a newsletter sign-up is enabled, we receive the email address you submit and use it to send the newsletter you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell your information. Where a form is handled by an outside email or form service, that service processes the data on our behalf. If no form is shown on a page, no form data is being collected there.

Server and hosting records

Like most websites, the web server and hosting provider may keep technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time. These are used for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. WordPress may also set cookies needed to run the site or, for administrators, to log in.

Links and embedded content

The site links to outside websites, including Why Humans on YouTube. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them. If we embed outside content in future, it may set its own cookies, and we will describe that here.

Children

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, or to object to its use. To make a request, use the contact page.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
